10/03 – Team Tournament

Neighborhood Challenge – who’s the big “dill”?

Form a team of players from your neighborhood or local pickleball venue and compete in this MLP-style team tournament! Make it fun – pick a team name, colors, etc.

Team/Tournament Structure

• 4-player co-ed teams (2 men + 2 women).
• Each round includes Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and 2 Mixed Doubles games.
• Pure round-robin format (no playoffs or DreamBreakers). In case of ties, points will be used.
• Regular scoring to 11, win by 2 with a 15 minute max per game.

Tournament Player Profile

• Designed for solid intermediate players who can sustain medium-length rallies, direct serves, execute third-shot drops, and understand basic court strategies.

Player Eligibility & DUPR Caps

• Team Combined Cap: 14.0 maximum aggregate total for all 4 players (averaging 3.5 per player).
• Individual Maximum: Strict 3.99 cutoff. Advanced players rated 4.0 or higher are not permitted.
• Unrated Players: If you don’t have a DUPR, use a self-rating based on USA Pickleball definitions, or contact the tournament director for provisional approval.

HOW TO REGISTER

• Each player should register and pay for the tournament via our scheduling site (https://panpickle.pickleplanner.com). The REGISTER button below will take you to the site login.
• If you are not currently a member, you will need to create a login account. Once you have done that, and logged in, you will need to enter your information and sign a liability waiver, including minor information if applicable.
• Then, select to Join an Event. This will prompt you to become a member of our club. DROP-IN membership is free, other membership types are monthly/annual fees.
• Scroll the calendar to October 3rd. Click on the tournament event to display details.
• At the bottom of the event description is a button to JOIN the event. Click that button.
• You will be prompted to check-out and pay for the event. Payments are handled via Square.

TEAM CAPTAINS: After your entire team has joined the event, click on the MY RESERVATIONS option in the menu. Go to the link in the event description, and enter your team roster information into the form.

Fees are non-refundable, but another player can be substituted. Rain date Sunday, Oct 4th, start time 1pm.
